Downtown CDA

Rich in Beauty and History

What originally began as a military fort, downtown Coeur d’Alene has become a must-see destination for tourists and locals alike. With easy access to camping, boating, fishing, golf, restaurants, and shopping - it’s easy to imagine making downtown CDA home.

Coeur d’Alene remains the center for both business and recreational activities in the Inland Northwest. For those at The Thomas George, adventure can be found just outside your doorstep.

McEuen Park

No car needed to get out and explore some of the best of what North Idaho has to offer. Just across the street from The Thomas George lies McEuen Park, home to 22.5 acres of fun.

Opened in 2014, the opportunity for entertainment is endless. With everything from a tennis/pickleball court to an off-leash dog park to the trailhead for the famous Tubbs Hill, it’s hard to find an excuse to stay inside.

Looking for something a little less recreational? During summer months, McEuen Park is host to weekly “Live After Five” concerts. There is also a sea wall overlook which is a great spot for keeping an eye on happenings out on the lake. You can also stroll across the world’s longest floating boardwalk, wrapping around the Coeur d’Alene Resort.

The neighboring Coeur d’Alene Resort offers multiple dining options, retail shopping, and a world-class spa for residents to enjoy.

Putt on the Famous Floating Green

Once described as “America’s Most Beautiful Resort Golf Course” by Golf Digest, the Coeur d’Alene Golf & Spa Resort has spared nothing to deliver the ultimate golf experience. As a golfer, your experience begins with a thrilling high-speed ride in a sleek mahogany boat, whisking you across the waters of Lake Coeur d’Alene to a land of meticulously manicured fairways—and that’s just the beginning. Gorgeous lake views on nearly every hole await, with every feature—from hole design to luxury carts and personalized forecaddie service—all expertly curated and attended to.

This is, quite simply, a golf experience like no other, and only 7 minutes away.

There is something magical about Lake Coeur d’Alene that’s hard to define. It could be the spectacular North Idaho sunsets, the small-town feel, the endless options for activities year-round, or the glowing lights of downtown Coeur d’Alene reflecting across its waters at night.
